mfdeuce asked: rallymonkey, if you find someone getting fired being a good thing. You know absolutely NOTHING about the sport of baseball and how it is run. You cannot blame JUST the coaches if the players are not succesful, these players were hired to hit not have someone teach them how to hit, thats why they are called PROFESSIONAL ATHLETES!!! Mickey Hatcher has been with the Angels since 2000 and was there when the Angels won their first and only WS.
Im tired of the age old keep the coach because he was there when we won the ring mentality. Many an article has been written on the failings of Hatcher as a coach so honestly I’m in good company on my side of this issue. Our on base percentage has been pathetic as well as the number of our runners stranded in scoring position. Statistics paint a very good picture as to why Hatcher should have been fired a season ago. Let me put it this way, we’ve had similar problems for three seasons now and we don’t have the same players so who is to blame then? It’s a good thing that the organization gets a shake up. I’m all for nostalgia but come on we can’t sacrifice the progress of the team for its sake.
For the long hiatus i’m back I’m LA for the week and my moms house lacks Internet but I’ve heard the GLORIOUS NEWS THAT WE’VE FIRED THAT HACK OF A HITTING COACH MICKEY HATCHER. finally sosh is hearing what fans like me have been saying for years. The guy could barely hit in the majors what did he know about teaching guys to hit. I hope this makes a dent!!!

lol oh derpy bourjos <3
first homer for pujols. honestly i’m not too concerned, glad it happened, hope it keeps happening, but meh that means now we can focus on other things
No lie, I think the boos tonight towards Pujols were a bit unwarranted. Yeah, the guy is struggling, but he isn’t the only guy on the team. Everyone was so caught up in the excitement of signing him and CJ that I think people lost sight of this team’s bigger problems. One guy cannot make up for the entire team’s lack of offense.
i second this emotion.. and point a very angry finger to mickey hatcher. boo that stupid man who should NOT be our hitting coach
